Basavana Bagedwadi, 30km from Koodalasangama is a well known piligrim centre and the birth place of Basaveshwara.

A great religious centre, also known as Kappadi Sangama, Koodalasangama is at the confluence of the Krishna and the Malaprabha in very enchanting surroundings. Koodalasangama has a history that goes back 800 years. Basavana Bagewadi, about 30 kms from here, a well-known pilgrimage centre, is the birthplace of Saint Basaveshwara. Several important temples are located here.
