Golden Chariot is a luxury train based holiday experience offered by KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation) along with Indian Railways. The Golden Chariot takes you along a fantastic journey to some of India’s premier wilderness and beach areas, along with major UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This is a fully air-conditioned train with 11 residential coaches, two restaurants, a lounge bar, a spa, a mini-gym, and a business centre.

Guests experience ultimate luxury and royal treatment on board The Golden Chariot starting from shifting the luggage from the hotel to the train, into the luxurious and beautiful cabins. A steward is appointed for each cabin and are always at the service of guests. The train tour includes delicious food which includes a wide range of options to indulge in on board, luxury accommodation on the train and outdoor/sightseeing activity as per itinerary at destinations. The interiors of the restaurants Ruchi and Nalapa inside the train are inspired from the architectures of Hoysala and Vijayanagara empires, with furnishings in royal purples and pretty florals. A team of well trained, friendly staff are always at the service of guests to ensure a majestic experience onboard Golden Chariot.

Tariff:

For Indians, the full package costs INR 1.25 lakh and INR 1.50 lakh per head. Rates are updated at the start of the season. You can opt for a 4 night journey as well and pay the respective amount.

  • Pride of Karnataka:

Pride of Karnataka is a 7 day tour focused on the most popular places of interest in Karnataka. The itinerary typically starts on a Sunday and ends on next Saturday. Boarding station is Yeshwantpur Railway station in Bengaluru. 

Itinerary: Bengaluru, Bandipur, Mysuru, Halebidu, Chikmagalur, Hampi, Badami, Goa and back to Bengaluru

  • Southern Splendour:

Southern Splendour is a 6 night/7 days tour focusing on the best of South India, extending to Tamil Nadu and Kerala besides Karnataka. Itinerary includes Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hampi, Mahabalipuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad, Cochin, Kumarakom and back to Bengaluru.
