Attiveri is one of the popular bird sanctuaries in Uttara Kannada district, spread over 22 square kms and centered around Attiveri lake. Attiveri Bird Sanctuary is known to be home to about 79 bird species, both residents and migrants can be seen.

Attiveri Bird Sanctuary is 400 kms from Bengaluru and 150 kms from district capital Karwar. Nearest airport is Hubballi (53kms) which is also the nearest major railway station. Public transport is available till nearby town of Mundgod from where taxi can be hired to reach Attiveri Bird Sanctuary.
Hubballi city (44 kms away) is the nearest big city with multiple accommodation options.
