Travel & Trade Fair, Mumbai

•  The Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka participated in the Travel and Tourism Fair held in Mumbai from the 19th to the 21 st of February, 2005.

•  The Department of Tourism had taken up 35 sq.ms for the Karnataka Pavilhon.

The following were the initiatives taken up the agency:

•  Invites to participate: Invites were dispatched to the trade in the state to participate in the fair. Each participant was provided with a table and two chairs.

•  In all there were 4 private participants namely Hotel Metropole, Veerabhoomi Tourism Village , Safe Wheels and Ayurveda Gram.

•  Each of the private participants was to pay a participation fee of Rs. 5000/- for their participation at TTF, Bangalore.

The agency co-ordinated with M/s Prathiroopi in putting up the Karnataka Pavilion. Panels on the destination were developed by the agency and used at the TTF.

The Hon'ble Minister of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra along with the Hon'ble Minister of Tourism, Govt. of Karnataka inaugurated the tourism fair. A visit to the stall along with key dignitaries from the tourism department was covered by the agency.
